Terms of Service
Effective date: July 31, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MusiciansHelper, including the website at musicianshelper.com and any related apps or services (the "Service"), operated by Stonecutter Media Group, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company in good standing ("MusiciansHelper," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, submitting a question or answer, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's permission.
2. Accounts
Some features (asking unlimited questions, submitting answers, saving activity) require a free account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used for abusive, fraudulent, or illegal activity.
3. The Service
MusiciansHelper lets users ask music-related questions and receive an AI-generated answer, produced automatically using third-party AI models, and human review and contributions from verified practitioners and community members. The Service is provided free of charge, without paywalls or advertising. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; any such features will be clearly labeled before you're charged.
4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Answers on MusiciansHelper — including AI-generated answers — are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. AI-generated answers may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, even after human review. Content on the Service is not professional legal, financial, tax, medical, or safety advice. For legal or financial decisions, consult a qualified professional. Human "verification" or "confirmation" of an answer reflects the reviewing contributor's opinion and experience; it is not a guarantee of accuracy. You are solely responsible for how you use or rely on any information from the Service.
5. User Content
You own the content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting it, you grant MusiciansHelper a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt your User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. See our DMCA / Copyright Policy for takedown requests.
6. Verified Contributors and Moderators
MusiciansHelper may designate certain users as "verified contributors" or "moderators" based on demonstrated industry experience. Designation is at MusiciansHelper's sole discretion, can be revoked at any time, and does not create any employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to impersonate anyone or misrepresent your credentials; post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content; scrape or bulk-extract content except through any officially published API; circumvent account or rate limits; upload malicious code or interfere with the Service; or use the Service to generate spam or disinformation.
8. Intellectual Property
The MusiciansHelper name, logo, and platform (excluding User Content and third-party AI output) are owned by Stonecutter Media Group, LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google (Gemini AI), OpenAI (GPT-4o Mini transcription), Supabase (database/authentication), Cloudflare (security/CDN), and Lovable (application hosting). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes caused by third-party services.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service at any time.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT (INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT) ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUSICIANSHELPER AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED ANSWERS.
No individual founder, officer, employee, or contractor of Stonecutter Media Group, LLC — including Chris Steinmetz — is a party to these Terms or personally liable for any claim, loss, or damage arising from: (a) another user's violation of these Terms or the Community Guidelines; (b) a security incident, data breach, or unauthorized access to the Service; or (c) any other outcome arising from use of the Service. Any such claim may be brought only against Stonecutter Media Group, LLC, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stonecutter Media Group, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and contributors — including Chris Steinmetz — from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or your involvement in any security incident affecting the Service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
